We are looking for a Sales Associate to join our team and assist Bethel Bakery customers as they shop at our Bethel Park location.

The Sales Associate will ensure that all customers are taken care of in a professional and timely manner and that the bakery cases & racks are well stocked. In addition, the Sales Associate, may be responsible for assisting the Sales Lead in ensuring all store opening and closing procedures are completed.

What does a Sales Associate Do?

A Sales Associate is a customer-facing position which helps customers that come into the store purchase baked goods. Additional duties and responsibilities of a Sales Associate are:

• Providing engaging, friendly and helpful customer service to all customers.
• Learning our bakery products, ingredients, prices, and packaging, in order to answer questions and make suggestions to customers.
• Ensuring the bakery display cases and shelves are well stocked.
• Assisting in completing opening and closing duties.
• Maintaining a clean sales area (cases, workstations, equipment, etc.).
• Utilizing the point of sale (POS) system; performing all cash functions and exchanges, following proper cash and credit card handling procedures.

Who does the Sales Assiciate work with?

The Sales Associate is supervised by the Sales Manager & Sales Lead who assign tasks throughout their shift and the Sales Associate works directly with other Sales Associates, Store Merchandiser and Packaging & Cake Boxer in the sales department.

Education/Experience Needed

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Previous customer service experience preferred.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Needed

• Ability to comprehend and follow all company procedures and regulations regarding food handling and sanitation.
• Customer focused, with strong interpersonal communication and math skills to process customer orders.
• Ability to work as a team player.
• Excellent organizational skills and effective time management skills.
• Attention to detail and presentation.
• Must be able to perform the physical requirements of the position, which include, but are not limited to standing for the duration of your shift, walking, lifting, bending, reaching, and being around varying temperatures (hot ovens/cold freezers).
• Must be able to perform the physical requirements of the position, which include, but are not limited to, talking, hearing, standing for the duration of your shift, walking, lifting and carrying up to 50 pounds, climbing, bending, reaching, pushing/pulling, kneeling, crouching, and being around varying temperatures (hot ovens/cold freezers).

Hours

• FULL-TIME; 30-40 HOURS/WEEK
• Must have flexibility to work varying shifts, based on business demands, including early mornings, evenings, Saturdays (required) and holidays.
• Shifts vary between the hours of 6 a.m.-6:30 p.m. Monday-Saturday
• No late nights! Closed Sundays and on major holidays, which include New Year’s Day, Memorial Day, 4th of July, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day & Christmas Day.

Work Location

• 5200 Brightwood Road, Bethel Park, PA 15102; must be able to reliably commute or planning to relocate prior to starting work.
